This Poem is Free

No conversation
Just undo hesitation
And
Mass evacuation –
Of our love…
Or
What used to be…?
At least that’s what you tell me
So now you want to be free…?
But I never paid for your time baby.
So I missed that fee.
Not even a penny
For your thoughts to gain true communication
You find every excuse to keep the great migration
Running away from our problems brings devastation
KA-BOOM
You wouldn’t care if they dropped a bomb in the room
Just as long as you could bloom
After the destruction
I can do bad all myself…
Now here comes the eruption
Our words between ourselves are like bad politicians
Filled with corruption
I’m seeking to find if you truly loved me
And you’re seeking a spot of sunlight in the clouds just to be free
And I can’t keep thee
No man can make a fed up mind happy
So in all fairness…
Away with thee
Too many cold shoulders in the storm
When love is supposed to be kind and warm…
But sunshine chasers never stay thru the storm.
And that should have been the first alarm
But I was too blinded about chasing a dream
To be happy in love was just a crock it seems
But isn’t that the poet’s gleam?
Turn lemons into lemonade
Even I realize that this wound needs more than a band-aid.
So before I apply first-aid…
Let me wash you away from me
Clean thy skin for you have made me dirty
And I’m going to charge it to the game
And waive the fee
Let these words bounce in your mental
For this poem is free…
And so are we.
